VITEEE 2014: Results announced on April 30. Check results here! 




VIT University declared the VITEEE 2014 results yesterday at around 8 pm. Students can view their results on this website:www.Results.TamilNaduEducation.net/VITEEE/
 
This year the top 10 ranks in the exam have been secured by boys. They have outshined the girls this year.
 
Students can also get their results on mobile phones by typing RESULT<space>VITEEE<space>REGISTRATION NUMBER to 56263


This year, close to 2 lakh engineering candidates had appeared for this exam conducted between April 9 and 20. The competition is for 4,197 seats in Vellore and Chennai.


The counseling for admission will begin from May 19 and end on May 22. The following are the counseling dates as per rank of the candidates:
 
Rank 1 - 8,000: 19 May
Rank 8,001 - 12,000: 20 May
Rank 12,001 - 16,000: 21 May
Rank 16,001 - 20,000: 22 May

Just 24 hours to review JEE answer keys NEW DELHI: The CBSE's decision to give just 24 hours to students to challenge the answer keys of JEE (main) and demand Rs 1000 for each question challenged has raised serious questions about the procedure.  A senior professor of IIT, Delhi, pointed out that money is not demanded from students for challenging questions. "Charging money for challenging multiple questions reflects the typical mindset of CBSE that is involved in conducting board examinations," he said.  "How does one expect a student to challenge within 24 hours. Ideal thing would be to give more time to all stakeholders like parents and students.
