Our university offers MA courses in Arabic, French and Russian in the Face-to-Face Mode.
Who is eligible?
In order to join the Master’s programme, you need to have the following qualification:
Bachelors’ Degree in any discipline, and good command of the Foreign Language concerned.
For Arabic:
Those who are applying from Madrasas (Private Arabic Institutions) should have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from one of the following:
a)Degree of Fazil from Jamina Nizamia, Hyderabad, AP

What is the mode of admission?
Admission to the programme will be based on an Entrance Test which will include both a writing and a speaking component. To qualify, a candidate must pass in both components. Only those who have passed in the Written Test will be called for the Oral Test to be conducted at EFL University, Hyderabad. What courses will I study?
The broad areas covered in these programmes will be: Language, Literature, Linguistics, Culture and Civilisation, Methodology, and Translation. Some of the MA Programmes will follow the credit system; in the case of those that do, the total number of credits to be earned by a student in order to graduate will be 80.
How long will it take to complete the programme?
It will take two years or four semesters to complete the regular MA Programme.

You will have to do 16 courses, out of which 12 will be ‘core’. The remaining 4 courses can be chosen from a list of 13 optional courses.
MA in French
You will be required to do 15 courses in all.
MA in Russian
You will be required to do 16 courses.
Thesis
In addition to these courses, in your final semester, you will have to write a thesis (25 –30 pages typed in double space), which will earn you 5 credits. This work will be done under the supervision of a member of the Faculty.
