JEE Main 2014: Results on 3 May
Aspiring engineering students can end their wait on 3 May, 2014 as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)will be declaring the result of the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) or JEE (Main) 2014 that it conducted in offline mode on 6 April, 2014 and in online mode from 9 - 19 April, 2014.
The JEE Main 2014 results would be available on the official JEE main website jeemain.nic.in as well as on the official website on 3 May, 2014.
From this year onward, no score/rank card will be mailed/ sent to the candidates. You are therefore, advised to download your JEE Main score/rank cards from the JEE (Main) website only.
This JEE Main 2014 score shall include the actual marks obtained in Paper-I of JEE (Main) - 2014 along with specifying if you have qualified to appear in JEE (Advanced) - 2014. Around 1.5 lakh top candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their JEE Main 2014 result to appear in JEE (Advanced) on 25 May, 2014 for foradmission to undergraduate engineering programmes offered by all 16 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad.
Your JEE (Main) 2014 score (60% weighatge)and your normalised score in Class 12th or equivalent qualifying exam (40% weightage), will be used to prepare separate rank lists admissionto B.E./B. Tech. and B. Arch/ B. Planning in institutions other than IITs. This will be prepared and published by 7 July, 2014. Your JEE (Main)-2014 Rank Card will mention your All India Rank (AIR), State Rank and Category Rank with total marks and marks in each paper and this will be available on JEE (Main) website after the declaration of result. Out of these, only your AIR will be used for admissions through Central Counselling Board to the NITs, the IIITs, the CFTIs, the SFIs and other engineering colleges, while other ranks are just for your information.
