Indian Navy Notification 2017: Sailors

The Indian Navy invites application from unmarried male candidates for enrolment as Sailors under Sports Quota Entry - 01/2018 Batch.
  1. Direct Entry Petty Officer
    Qualification: 10+2 qualified in any stream or equivalent examination.
    Sports Proficiency: 
    i) Team Games: Should have participated at International/ National/ State level at junior/ senior level or represented a University in the Inter University tournament.
    ii) Individual Events: Should have attained a minimum of 6th position in Nationals (seniors) or 3rd position in National (juniors) or 3rd position in the Inter University meets.
    Age Limit: 17 - 22 years
  2. Sr. Secondary Recruitment
    Qualification: 10+2 qualified in any stream or equivalent examination.
    Sports Proficiency: Should have participated at International/ National/ State level or represented a University in the Inter University tournament.
    Age: 17 - 21 years
  3. Matric Recruits
    Qualification: 10th/ equivalent qualified.
    Sports Proficiency: Should have participated at International/ National/ State level or represented a University in the Inter University tournament.
    Age: 17 - 21 years

How to Apply: The completed application form along with all necessary documents should be forwarded to "The Secretary, Indian Navy Sports Control Board, 7th Floor, Chankya Bhavan, Integrated Headquarters, M MoD (Navy), New Delhi - 110021".

84 pc students choose to settle in India for career prospects: Survey Indian students are yet to lose hope on their career prospects in India. Eighty-four per cent of graduation and post-graduation students in Delhi-NCR will choose to settle in India for career prospects while the remaining 16 per cent are of the view that moving abroad revealed a recent survey. The survey 'Youth Economics: Career Expectations Survey' undertaken by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry found that students are grappled with multiple challenges such as lack of financial resources for pursuing education vis-a-vis ever increased prices and lack of employment opportunities. The survey results further revealed that only 29 percent of the respondents were thinking of pursuing higher education after completion of graduation/post-graduation studies.
